Beaver Creek, Ohio July 10, 2021 Mini Tour ∙ Reflections

Attendees gathered in the Pioneer Village barn for a catered lunch.

On Saturday July 10, 2021, CSO members gathered at Beaver Creek State Park for a guided tour of the park's Pioneer Village, and a catered luncheon.  The tour included demonstrations of a water-powered grist mill, the  blacksmith shop and traditional weavers. Beaver Creek State Park is located  between Lisbon and East Liverpool, Ohio, and is on the path of the Sandy & Beaver Canal. 


The Sandy & Beaver Canal connected Bolivar, Ohio, on the Ohio & Erie Canal, with Glasgow, Pennsylvania, on the Ohio River. The Canal Society of Ohio contributed to the restoration of the canal lock at Pioneer Village.
