• CSO Fall Tour - Piqua Area October 6th thru 8th, 2017
Johnston Farm Historical Area in Piqua October 6-8, Andy Hite will lead a tour in and around the state historical park, including the newly rebuilt Lock 1s at Lockington, the Piqua Hydraulic Basin and the Piqua Hydraulic Canal. Lock 1s was disassembled and restored in 2014.
The Hydraulic Basin features intricate earthworks which channeled water to power 19th-century Piqua industries. The hiking and biking trail along the Hydraulic Canal will provide a very enjoyable walk. Jim Oda of the Piqua Historical Society will speak at the Saturday banquet. Tour headquarters will be the Comfort Inn in Piqua Mall near I-75.
