As you can see from the canal origin marker photos above, next year, in July of 2025, will be the 200th Anniversary of the beginning of Ohio's Canal System Construction. Look for more information here in the future about celebration plans!!.
OUr Activities are open to all, and include
Two daylong bus tours every year, in Spring and Fall, of canal-era sites across Ohio and nearby states;
Three half-day tours every year in Spring,
Summer and Fall;
Publication of Towpaths, our quarterly journal of historical research;
State-wide support for historical markers, educational programs and artifact preservation, through grants and volunteer involvement.
