Maumee, Ohio, July 15, 2023 Mini- Tour Reflections

Fallen Timbers Visitor Center

Julie Wiley, of the Fallen Timbers Battlefield Preservation Commission, described the major people and events related to the Battle of Fallen Timbers, while she led a hike through the battlefield area, which is part of the Toledo Metroparks system. The Battle of Fallen Timbers is one of the most significant battles in the history of the United States. The defeat of Native armies at Fallen Timber in 1794 led directly to the Treaty of Greenville in 1795, which opened Ohio to American settlers. The hike was followed by lunch at Beer Barrel Pizza.
